Baseball PLAAY-Offs with History Maker Baseball's 2023 Pro In-Season Cards

Well, the big league playoffs hit high gear this weekend, with four-count 'em-four games on the schedule to get things rolling! Here's a quick playoff weekend update for your 2023 Pro In-Season card set for History Maker Baseball…

As you probably know, the playoffs are a whole different ball game in the big leagues. Roster size is reduced, and managers have to make tough decisions. From a fan's perspective (and, certainly from the perspective of a baseball table gamer), these decisions sometimes seem baffling on paper. Players with little regular season production often make the post-season roster while major contributors are left out. This makes it impossible to create a 100% authentic card set, except on the fly--which is what we're doing here.

Last night's PLAAY Games YouTube Channel stream featured all eight teams in a "Game Five" scenario to determine the four finalists for next weekend's Fall Classic Pre-PLAAY in Cooperstown NY. I spent most of the afternoon going over rosters (or, in the case of the four teams who had byes, projected rosters) to see who was in and who was out. As has been the case every year since we introduced the concept of an In-Season card set, about 75% of the players on the playoff rosters were given cards for the In-Season set. Some of the players who weren't given cards aren't likely to contribute. However, to help you better approximate what's about to go down, we've created a sub-set of 24 new cards which you can download here, 22 players who weren't carded for the in-season set, but who made the playoff roster and two generic cards for added depth representing seldom-used substitute players.

In addition, here's a quick-list of roster switches and fixes to help you whip your cards into playoff shape...
